Buckwheat dumplings

Buckwheat dumplings are dumplings that are prepared using buckwheat flour . They are mainly eaten traditionally in northern Germany .

Holstein buckwheat dumplings are a dish from the Holstein region . The dumplings are made from potato dough made from jacket potatoes , under which buckwheat flour and finely diced bacon, eggs and milk are lifted. The small dumplings that are formed from this dough are cooked in boiling salted water. The dish is poured with brown butter and served with a salad.
