Budgie (model car)

Model cars from various English companies were sold under the name Budgie from 1956 . The models were similar in size and texture to those of the Matchbox models from Lesney . An obvious difference, however, is that the floors of many Budgie models were not riveted to the superstructure, but were inserted into the superstructure with two pegs on each side.

The toy manufacturer of the same name, Budgie Toys , emerged from its predecessor Morestone , after which many models are still named. The toy manufacturer was based in London and specialized in wagons, carriages and later in all kinds of miniature cars and trucks.
