Association of Christian German Youth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bund Christdeutscher Jugend was formed in May 1933 through the union of the Bund Deutscher Jugendvereine with the Christdeutscher Bund . This emerged in 1927 from the Christian German Youth , which split off from the Protestant Neulandbund in 1921 .

However, the hope of being able to withstand the National Socialist appropriation under the protection of a larger coalition was deceptive; the sub-organization Christdeutsche Jungenschaft was banned as early as November . The federal government then renounced youth work and dismissed all members under the age of 18.

It was dissolved in 1945.
