Uniform national designation list

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The federally uniform designation list for dental technology services , (short: Federal uniform designation list ( BEB )) is an official technical directory of dental technology services that was developed by the Association of German Dental Technicians Guilds (VDZI). The current BEB Zahntechnik has been in effect since January 1st, 2009. The comprehensive technical directory enables transparent service documentation and the billing of dental services for private dental services.

BEB Zahntechnik documents the variety of dental services for supplying the population with dentures , dental crowns , orthodontics , splint therapy and services for restoring the functionality of dentures.

history

The 1st edition of the BEB was first published in 1973 by the Association of German Dental Technicians Guilds and is currently in the 8th edition. For better calculation, the BEB was linked with the REFA -methodical working time management for the dental technician trade.

Demarcation

The federal uniform list of services for billable dental technology services (BEL) contains all dental technology services that can be provided as part of contract dental care for those with statutory health insurance. The BEL is agreed between the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds and the Association of German Dental Technicians Guilds (VDZI) in accordance with Section 88 (1) SGB V.

The BEL is not binding for privately insured patients and for private services for patients with statutory health insurance, because it is not a tax . The dental technology costs can - as with all traders - be calculated by the respective dental laboratory according to appropriateness and local custom. The national uniform list of names for dental services is mostly used as a calculation basis. A laboratory is free to flat-rate the services, to calculate other planned times or to present them completely differently.

Calculation mode

The federally standardized list of names for dental services itself does not contain any prices, but is a calculation aid for the dental technician trade . The planned times for each individual dental service must be added to the so-called set-up and dwell times. The planned time is the time that is required on average for the production of each partial dental service. The set-up time is the time required to prepare a work step. The dwell time is the time in which the craftsman is not directly active, but is occupied with the corresponding partial service, for example to monitor a process. Then the times are multiplied by a minute cost factor that each dental laboratory calculates individually. The minute cost factor can differ for the partial services within an invoice, depending on whether a master dental technician, a journeyman, a trainee or an assistant is engaged in the respective partial service. From the sum of all individual service costs calculated in this way, the production costs result. The material costs, a risk surcharge and a profit surcharge are added to these production costs. Precious metal costs for dental alloys (at the current price) and the (reduced) sales tax of 7% (as of 2014) are billed separately.
