The Swiss Federal Act on Certification Services in the Field of Electronic Signatures and Other Applications of Digital Certificates ( Federal Act on Electronic Signature, ZertES ) ( SR 943.03) regulates the legal framework for digital signatures, their use, providers, as well as rights and obligations.
It regulates the requirements for a qualified signature in order to be equivalent to a handwritten signature in accordance with the Code of Obligations .
