The Bundesverband Deutscher Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaft (BVK) represents the interests of the private equity industry in Germany. This includes the private equity companies - from venture capital to growth financing to the buy-out area - as well as the institutional investors who invest in private equity. The BVK represents over 320 members, 205 of whom are affiliated companies. Ulrike Hinrichs is a managing board member.

founding

On 29 January 1988, the Federal Association of German capital was associated companies (BVK) in Berlin founded. In December 1987, 12 closed shareholding companies for venture capital ( "venture capital companies") in West Berlin together with the German Venture Capital Association (DVCA).

In December 1989, the Federal Association of German Private Equity Companies merged with the DVCA.

purpose

The aim is to create the best possible environment for equity capital in Germany. This includes improving the tax and corporate law framework for equity capital in Germany in dialogue with decision-makers in politics and administration, facilitating access to equity capital for those looking for capital, observing the market and analyzing market developments, and promoting the exchange of experience between members.
