Bungeishunjū ( Japanese 株式会社 文藝 春秋 Kabushiki-gaisha Bungeishunjū , English Bungeishunjū Inc. ) is a Japanese publisher headquartered in the Kioi district, Chiyoda district , Tokyo . Bungeishunjū publishes magazines such as the Shūkanbunshun (German about "Klatschwochenblatt", also known as ゴ シ ッ プ 紙 Goshippu-shi , Katakana - spelling of the English term "Gossip").

The publishing house was originally founded in January 1923 by Kan Kikuchi for the distribution of magazines. In March 1946, the publishing house was dissolved due to war collaboration and in June by Sasaki Mosaku (1894-1966), an employee of the first hour with the still existing company form as Kabushiki-gaisha, re-founded. The publisher has been awarded the Akutagawa Prize , the Naoki Prize and other prizes.
