Burchan

Burchan is the main god of the Buryats who live in Siberia, more precisely Buryatia (including Lake Baikal ) . A tradition consists in offering a few drops of vodka to Lake Baikal and with it Burchan . Another custom is to hang small pieces of paper with prayers on trees so that the wind may carry them away.
