Pařez Castle

The castle Pařez even Husí nůžka called, is the ruin of a rock castle in the Bohemian Paradise in the Czech Republic .

location

The castle is located in the Hradec Králové region in the Okres Jičín . It is located in the Bohemian Paradise in the village of Pařezska Lhota on a sandstone rock near the Prachau Rocks , about 8 km from the towns of Sobotka and Jičín .

history

The castle was founded in the 14th century. When it was used by robbers, it was destroyed. Later it was probably used as a shelter for the poor.

description

The castle is located on a solitary rock. It was protected by steep cliffs and surrounding ponds. The carved rock spaces and small remains of the castle walls and the tower have been preserved.
