The Taplacken Castle was an order castle of the Teutonic Order in the East Prussian town of Taplacken, now Talpaki .
history
A Prussian castle hill 800 meters north of Taplacken an der Nehme is occupied . The order built its first castle in the 13th century, which was destroyed by the Lithuanians under Prince Kęstutis in 1376. The later reconstruction took place on a promontory protruding from the morass, which is better to be secured. The expansion of cellars had to be avoided because of the damp ground. A domain was later set up in the castle .
