The Isenringen castle in Beckenried in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden is the site of a late medieval castle .
location
The castle is located on the southern edge of Lake Lucerne in Beckenried, today on the plain northwest of the Beckenried-Emmetten mountain railways at around 435 m above sea level. M. There are only remnants of walls also under the house Isenringen mentioned Nidwaldner town house preserved.
history
The castle was built in the middle of the 13th century by the lords of Isenringen . In 1262 a Heinrich von Isenringen was mentioned in a document. The remains were demolished around 1860.
