The castle wall near Riewend , a district of the municipality of Päwesin in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district , is the stables of a Slavic low castle , a Slavic castle wall . It is designated as a ground monument .
The Burgstall is located at the northern boggy end of the Riewendsee and is two-part. It is an oval main castle 65 to 80 meters in diameter, which was surrounded by a wide moat. The height of the wall is up to five meters compared to the surrounding areas. The interior of the main castle has an area of 0.4 hectares. To the north-west of the castle was a suburb settlement. As was not discovered until 1970, it also had a section trench as a fortification. The swamp castle existed from the 8th to the 11th century and was the residence of a Heveller prince . In the immediate vicinity of the castle, 21 settlements from the Slavic era can be found so far.
