Business mapping

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Business mapping or digital mapping is a synonym for a structuring method. Terms or topics are hierarchically structured and in the form of a tree, the root of which is usually positioned centrally in the picture. The term is mostly used synonymously with Mind Mapping , whereby this is "protected". Today, generation is mostly computer-aided.

Differentiation from mind mapping

Business mapping is "delimited" to mind mapping in this way :

  • Following the principles of Tony Buzan's original mind map method , only one keyword is ever written on a branch; In business mapping, it can also be a full sentence or at least half a sentence.
  • Mind mapping works with pen and paper or with software, while business mapping primarily uses the computer.
  • The term Mind Map has been protected by the Tony Buzan Center; there are trademark rights for holding mind map seminars. The term business mapping is not protected and is often used with different meanings.

software

Today there is a wide variety of software for business mapping , an overview can be found in the article Mind-Map .
