Business Server Pages

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Business Server Pages , abbreviated to BSP , refers to a technology developed by SAP that is essentially used for the simple dynamic generation of HTML and XML outputs from a web server .

This technology makes it possible to embed code written in the programming languages ABAP or server-side JavaScript and special BSP actions in static content. This has the advantage that with this technology the logic can be implemented independently of the design.

BSPs are closely based on the JavaServer Pages (JSP) technology developed by Sun Microsystems . BSPs run on a SAP NetWeaver Application Server . The application server is the basic system on which the business software SAP R / 3 or SAP Enterprise is based. Web applications based on BSPs can therefore very easily access the required business data without having to use additional middleware .
