The first public bus transport in Šiauliai was established in 1940. At that time, the transport company had 29 buses. From 1991 the company operated under the name Šiaulių valstybinis autobusų parkas until it was renamed UAB Šiaulių autobusų parkas in 1995 . Since 1999 it has been called UAB Busturas . The company currently operates 24 bus routes in Šiauliai, manages the Šiauliai bus station and employs around 400 people. The company has around 18 million passengers annually. The fleet now includes around 150 buses.
