Buzuluk as is a mechanical engineering company based in Komárov u Hořovic ( Okres Beroun , Czech Republic ).

history

Today's Buzuluk as has its origins in an iron hammer mill, the history of which goes back to the 15th century. At the end of the 17th century, the royal family of Vrbno acquired the ironworks. The ironworks later became famous for its artistic cast products. In the 19th century, mainly cast iron dishes, stove plates and iron architectural elements were produced.

In 1902 the foundry was bought by the Petzold company, which expanded the production profile to include machine elements. In 1904 the production of hardened rollers began. In October 1919 the company was converted into a stock corporation. Another mainstay was the manufacture of enamelled bed tubs. From 1932 piston rings for internal combustion engines were produced, which later became the main product of the plant.

After the Second World War, the company was nationalized based on the presidential decree of October 24, 1945 . It traded as BUZULUK Komárov np from 1949. In 1952 the company took over the manufacture of rubber machinery from the Svit shoe factory in Gottwaldov .

In 1960 a new foundry went into operation. The company's production was now limited to the three product groups rubber machine tools, piston rings and enamel goods. In the mid-1980s, over 20 million piston rings were manufactured annually. Almost all engine manufacturers in Czechoslovakia obtained their piston rings from Buzuluk.

In 1992, Buzuluk was converted into a joint stock company. In 1996 the company was bought by ČGS .
