Cápac Yupanqui (military leader)
Cápac Yupanqui or Qhapaq Yupanki was the brother of the Inca ruler Pachacútec Yupanqui (Pachakutiq Yupanki) .
As a military leader he was entrusted with conquests in the north of the Inca Empire. In 1460 he succeeded in subjugating the Vanka in Junín after heavy fighting . After a failed campaign in Huánuco , during which numerous Chanka mercenaries from the Inca army deserted, Pachakutiq had him executed in Cusco .
