The CH Val d'Aran Vielha was founded in 2005 and immediately took part in the Superliga , the highest Spanish ice hockey league . Already in their first season the team reached the third of seven places and missed participation in the finals of the Spanish championship by just one point. After a fourth place in the Superliga and reaching the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey in the 2006/07 season, Vielha withdrew from the game in December 2007 due to a power struggle over the club's management, whereupon all results of the team from the 2007/08 season were canceled were.
