CO 2 star

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

CO 2 Star is an initiative of the European Commission in cooperation with European energy companies. The multinational and multilateral carbon dioxide labeling project is intended to help reduce CO 2 emissions.

Experts from research, industry and politics take part in this initiative. The program promotes the use of biodiesel and other renewable fuels . The initiative is researching an improvement in performance through fuel additives. The project provides transport companies which CO 2 offer low-carbon power, advisory support. This first European “carbon initiative” created the introduction of the labeling of products and transport services with low CO 2 emissions and is working on a reduction in greenhouse gases and a decrease in dependence on oil. The development of a CO 2 seal is intended to encourage consumers to consciously improve their CO 2 balance through the use of bio-diesel and biofuels and the use of corresponding engine oils.
