CREDO (project)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cosmic-Ray Extremely Distributed Observatory (CREDO) (Superdisperse Cosmic Radiation Observatory ) is a scientific project initiated in late August 2016 by Polish scientists from the Institute of Nuclear Physics PAS in Krakow to detect cosmic rays and search for dark matter . Scientists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary joined the project. The aim is to involve as many people as possible in the construction of a global system of detectors for cosmic rays. Thanks to a light-sensitive sensor and a GPS module, a smartphone is suitable as a detector.
