Probark Mały [ ˈprɔbark ˈmawɨ ] ( German  Klein Proberg ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Piecki ( rural community Peitschendorf ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).

Geographical location

Probark Mały is located 500 meters east of the Great Wongel Lake ( Jezioro Wągiel in Polish ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers southeast of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).  

history

Klein Proberg was built as a small homestead and dismantled by the community (old) Proberg ( Nowy Probark in Polish ) around 1800. In 1867 the small town had 102, in 1885 only 75 inhabitants. On January 13, 1904 Klein Proberg was together with the taking down Jakobsdorf (Polish Jakubowo ), Neuort upper Proberg ( Probark Górny ), (Alt) Proberg ( Nowy Probark ) and Probergswerder ( Żabieniec ) from the rural community Proberg the new rural community Jakobsdorf united and incorporated into the district of Proberg. Until 1945 this belonged to the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

Klein Proberg has belonged to Poland since 1945 . The place bears the Polish name form "Probark Mały" and is now a town in the rural community Piecki (whip village) in mrągowo county (Kreis Sensburg ) until 1998, the Olsztyn Province (Olsztyn) , since the Warmia and Mazury belong.

Protestant church

Until 1945, Klein Proberg was incorporated into the country parish of the Protestant parish church of Sensburg in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The reference to this church in Mrągowo , now called St. Trinity Church , still exists today. However, it now belongs to the Masurian Diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Catholic Church

Before 1945 Klein Proberg was parish in the Catholic Church of St. Adalbert in Sensburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Today the place belongs to the parish Kosewo (Kossewen , 1938 to 1945 Rechenberg) with its branch community Jakubowo (Jakobsdorf) in the diocese of Ełk of the Polish Catholic Church .
