Rutkowo ( German Schönruttkowen , 1938 to 1945 Schönrauten ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Piecki ( German Peitschendorf ) in the Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Rutkowo is located south of the Langendorfer See ( Jezioro Dłużec in Polish ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 14 kilometers southwest of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
Which at the time Nice Rutkowen , after 1905 Schönrutkowen and until 1938 Schönruttkowen called Gutsdorf was founded in 1822 and originally consisted of an average and a small courtyard. Until 1945 it was a residential place within the rural community Borowen (1938 to 1945 Prausken , Polish Borowe ) in the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1905 Schönruttkowen had 51 inhabitants. On June 3 (officially confirmed on 16 July) 1938 the village was foreign-sounding place names in "Fine diamonds" for political and ideological reasons of defense renamed .
As a result of the war, the place came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish form of name "Rutkowo". Today he is a town in the rural community composite Piecki (whip village) in mrągowo county (Kreis Sensburg ) until 1998, the Olsztyn province , since the Warmia and Mazury assigned.
