Żabieniec [ ʐaˈbjɛɲɛt͡s ] ( German  Probergswerder ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . He belongs to the rural community Piecki (Peitschendorf) in Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).

Geographical location

Żabieniec is located in the southern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship, ten kilometers southeast of the district town of Mrągowo ( German  Sensburg ).

Until 1945, Probergswerder was incorporated into the Protestant parish of the Sensburger parish church in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
