The CVM Tomis Constanța is a Romanian men's volleyball club from Constanța . The association was founded in 1996 as CSS 1 Midia Năvodari . In 2002 it was renamed Volei Club Municipal Constanţa and in 2005 Club Volei Municipal Tomis Constanţa . Since 1998 they have been playing in the highest Romanian league. From 2007 to 2015 Tomis Constanţa was six times Romanian champion and from 2005 to 2014 eight times Romanian cup winner. The company has also been active on a European level since 2000, initially in the Top Teams Cup , later in the CEV Cup and the Challenge Cup . The greatest success was a third place in the 2009 CEV Cup . In 2012/13 Tomis Constanța made his first appearance in the Champions League .
