The Cabo de Peñas (cabu Peñes in Asturian ) is a headland in Spain that extends into the Cantabrian Sea and is the northernmost tip of the autonomous community of Asturias . The cape is located in the central area of ​​the Asturian coast and has been declared a protected landscape. Around the northernmost point there are fishing villages and excellent beaches on the edge of over 100 m high cliffs. The lighthouse, built in 1852, is the landmark. From here there is an excellent view of the nearby bays, such as that of Sabín with its sandy beach.
