Caecius Severus

The military diploma from AD 140

Caecius Severus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

Two military diplomas , dated February 13, 139 and November 26, 140, prove that Severus was prefect of the Roman fleet stationed in Misenum ( classis praetoria Misenensis ) from 139 to 140 .
