Call Detail Record
A Call Detail Record or Call Data Record ( CDR ) contains the information required for a billing system in the telecommunications sector . In German usage, the term communication data set (KDS), connection data set , individual call record (EGN) or individual call record (EVN) is used. Mobile phone companies also create CDRs for SMS , MMS and WAP connections, i.e. for all connections that can be billed to a customer.
Examples:
- Starting point ( A-participant )
- Target number ( B subscriber )
- current time of connection start
- Duration of the connection in seconds
In the case of mobile communications, there is also:
- International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of the end device
- Identification number of the radio cell or the cellular base station (Cell-ID)
- Number of data transferred in bytes e.g. B. for ringtone downloads and WAP portals
The Call Detail Record is required , among other things, for the creation of the telephone bill ( billing ).
