The World 200 Camping is a car race since 1998 transmitted the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series , which at the Gateway International Raceway in Madison , Illinois takes place. The race covers a distance of 200 miles (321.87 kilometers), which means that the drivers have 160 laps to complete. In 2004 there was a "Green-White-Checkered-Finish" , the race was extended by 14 laps, but almost all of these laps were driven under the yellow flag, as it was only with the "Green-White-Checkered-Finish" there are two "green rounds". It was one of the longest race extensions. Ted Musgrave is the only driver who has managed to win this race more than once. He made it in 2001 and 2005.
In the 2007 season , the race was one of the decisive ones for the championship, as Mike Skinner , who traveled to Madison, Illinois as the points leader, was only 28th due to a puncture and Ron Hornaday Jr., who finished second, took the lead in the points classification. Skinner was previously the overall leader for seven months.
