Canacona Island , also Kankon Island , is a forested tidal island off the Palolem Bay in Goa ( India ). The island is also known under the name Monkey Island , because monkeys temporarily live on it, which retreat to the neighboring forests when the tide is low . Even people can easily walk to the island when the tide is low. On some days dolphins can be observed from the side facing the sea .
