Canadian Society of Cinematographers

The Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) is a Canadian not-for-profit organization.

The CSC was founded in 1957 and has over 500 members. The mission of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers is to foster the artistic creativity and skills required for cinematography. It is one of the most influential associations with the American Society of Cinematographers and the British Society of Cinematographers .

Publications

From 1962, the Canadian Society of Cinematographers published the Canadian Cinematography magazine. Five years later it was renamed Cinema Canada and in 1989 Canadian Cinematographer.

Awards ceremonies

The Canadian Society of Cinematographers presents the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards at an annual gala event in Toronto . In 2017 the CSC Awards ceremony took place for the 60th time.
