The Mast Hill (English for flagpole hill ) is a 14 m high hill on the Stonington Island in Marguerite Bay off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises on the western end of the island.
Scientists on the so-called East Base of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941) erected a flagpole here , which gave the hill its name.
