A participation On January 1st, 1937, the company started production in a rented building of today's Siegwerk , a former calico factory .

In order to make the cantulia accordion easier to distinguish from competing products, Neuerburg commissioned the Berlin designer OHW Hadank with the product design . The result was a distinctive chassis with a red "C" on the c'-key. The high quality and handcrafted accordions were in direct competition with those of the musical instrument manufacturer Hohner and were highly valued because of their excellent sound. Sold worldwide, the annual number rose to over 5000 by 1939. The factory remained closed during World War II, but production resumed when the reconstruction began. In 1953, 250 employees produced up to 1,400 accordions per month. Cantulia orchestras were created throughout Germany. In 1957, Hohner took over the Cantulia Neuerburg limited partnership and ceased operations on December 31, 1957. Cantulias are still popular instruments for enthusiasts today.
