Capitanata
The Capitanata is a historical landscape in Italy , in the northern part of Apulia between the Ofanto and Fortore rivers . The area of today's Foggia Province and that of the historic Capitanata Province are roughly the same.
The Romans called it Apulia Daunia ( Daunia ); since the beginning of the Norman conquest it has been called the Capitanata.
