Captain Forever

Captain Forever is a flash game that was programmed by the Australian indie game developer Jarrad Woods alias Farbs. It was named Best Game at the Independent Games Festival China in 2009. The game idea was the model for two PC game projects, one of which was successful in 2014 on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.

Gameplay

Captain Forever is a 2D space shooter , the name and graphics of which are themselves inspired by the side scrollers Warning Forever and Battleship Forever . The specialty is that the individual parts of destroyed enemy spaceships can be integrated into your own ship. The design of the spaceship has an impact on its physical properties. If the player survives all attacks of the randomly generated opponents, the game can theoretically go on indefinitely. The strongest form of the spaceship can be reached in about half an hour. Sequels

  • Farbs completed the additions Captain Successor and 2010 Captain Impostor based on Captain Forever by 2009, which can only be played against payment . In 2013 he published the RPG Captain Jameson .
