Captain Ivory is a band from Detroit that rock , rock 'n' roll and blues rock plays.

history

Founded in 2012, the band toured the USA shortly after a few jam sessions. On November 15th, 2012 a Kickstarter project was started to finance the first release, the Live GBS Detroit EP , GBS stands for Groovebox Studios. The project was successful and the EP was released as a download on December 14, 2012.

The self-titled debut album was released in 2014.

In 2015, after a number of gigs through the USA, a six-week tour through Europe followed. a. in Spain, France and Germany before the album No Vacancy was released in 2016 with new members Seth Maschari (drums) and Brett Smith (bass) replacing Justin Leitner (drums) and Alex Patten (bass). The album release was embedded in a further tour through the USA. a. in Nashville.
