The Carbrodruck is a 1873 developed photographic Alternative Process for producing artistic photographs.

As with most high-quality printing processes, the base is a pigment-containing gelatin layer that is impregnated with a solution of potassium dichromate , potassium ferricyanide and potassium bromide . This is brought into contact with a silver bromide copy. The gelatin layer is tanned in the exposed areas, the untanned areas can be washed out. Then the image is transferred to paper. About six transfers are possible from one copy.
