Carl Eduard War Cross

The Carl Eduard War Cross was donated on July 19, 1916 by Carl Eduard von Sachsen-Coburg and Gotha and was awarded for exceptional military services in the First World War .

The medal is a silver cross in the form of a Johanniterkreuz with a green enameled laurel wreath . In the middle of the cross there is a large medallion showing the initials of the founder CE , which are surmounted by a crown.

A total of 99 awards, including two with diamonds, are documented.
