Carl Lorenz (painter)

Carl Lorenz (born August 20, 1891 in Berlin ; † 1978 ) was a German painter .

Life

Carl Lorenz completed an apprenticeship as a decorative painter and an apprenticeship at the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts , which was interrupted by the First World War. As in World War II , he was a soldier there.

Carl Lorenz traveled to Italy from 1923 to 1930 and then returned to Berlin. His travels also took him to Austria , where he created several works, especially in the Wachau . Later also to California and South Africa . He worked mainly as a landscape painter and watercolorist.
