Carlo Romano (1961)

Carlo Romano (born May 8, 1908 in Livorno , † October 16, 1975 in Rome ) was an Italian actor , voice actor and screenwriter .

Life

Romano grew up as the son of the actors and actresses Giuseppe Ricci and Geltraude (who called themselves Dina Romano for their appearances ) in the theater environment . Already - like his brother Felice - on stage as a child, he joined various ensembles after leaving school, including La Benelliana and those of the stars Dina Galli and Paola Borboni, where he was always employed as a character and supporting actor. As such, he also worked extensively in film; by the end of the Second World War he had already made around fifty films. Even after that, he was very busy until the mid-1950s; some scripts and original stories were added. In even more cinema works he could be heard, as he was one of the most popular voice actors in Italy; so for Ernest Borgnine , Marlon Brando , Fred Astaire , Jerry Lewis , Edward Andrews and John Mills . In addition to very little television work, his work for the radio and as a speaker for documentaries and reports should be mentioned.
