Carlos Henriques da Silva Maia Pinto (born June 5, 1886 in Porto , † November 2, 1932 ) was a Portuguese politician and Prime Minister (Presidente do Conselho de Ministros) during the First Republic .

Life

On October 19, 1921, Prime Minister Manuel Maria Coelho appointed him Minister for the Colonies in his cabinet.

A few days later, on November 5, 1921, he was appointed Prime Minister (Presidente do Conselho de Ministros) as the successor to Coelho . However, like many other Prime Ministers of the First Republic , his term in office was very short. On December 16, 1921, he handed over the business of government to Francisco Pinto da Cunha Leal . During his tenure he also took over the office of Minister of the Interior .
