Carmel Market
The Carmel Market ( Hebrew שוק הכרמל Shuk HaCarmel ) is mainly a fruit and vegetable market in Tel Aviv , but other everyday items are also offered. The market is on Carmel Street and is adjacent to Allenby Street. Every day, except on Shabbat , tourists and locals shop here.
On November 1, 2004, a suicide bomber set off a bomb in the market, killing three people and injuring around 30. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for the attack.
