Carola Fischer

Carola Fischer (* in Berlin ) is a German opera / operetta singer with a mezzo-soprano / alto voice .

Live and act

Carola Fischer grew up in Berlin. At first her main interest was competitive sports: gymnastics, then figure skating. When she was denied a sporting career, she decided to study singing at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy . During her studies she received her first guest contracts, among others at the music stages in Schwerin and at the Komische Oper Berlin .

After completing her studies, Carola Fischer began her career in 1981 at the Cottbus State Theater , of which she has been a member since then. There her first role was that of Fidalma in the opera buffa Il matrimonio segreto . Initially, the artist was a guest at the Leipzig Opera and the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau for five years . Guest engagements have taken Carola Fischer to Erfurt, Flensburg, Schwetzingen, the Chiemgau Festival, Halle and the German State Opera Berlin . In the latter theater she sang Cherubin and Le Jay in Siegfried Matthus' premiere of Graf Mirabeau .

In addition to her stage presence, she also appears as a song / concert singer.
