The menhir of Carrowtrasna ( Irish An Cheathrú Trasna ) is an approximately 3.5 meter high, pillar-like menhir ( English Standing Stone), the southwest of Kilcummin, on the north-east coast of County Mayo in Ireland at the south end of Lackan Bay , stands at the end of a low embankment or a dike.

Local folklore says that the stone was erected by St. Patrick , but stones of this type were erected during prehistoric times.

Nearby

About a kilometer to the east, not far from Kilcummin Holy Well , is the slender Carrowteelagh menhir. Another 800 meters to the east are the two St Cumin's Grave menhirs near Kilcummin, near the beach.
