The Cartoon Art Museum (CAM) is a comics museum founded in San Francisco , California in 1984 .

At the beginning the museum was a traveling exhibition without a fixed location. Only in 1987 did the exhibition get a permanent place in the Call Bulletin Building in San Francisco with the help of Charles Schulz .
