Caspar von Eickstedt (clergyman)

Caspar von Eickstedt (also Jasper von Eickstedt and Jaspar von Eickstedt ) was a clergyman in the diocese of Cammin in the 15th century.

The member of the Pomeranian noble family Eickstedt is first mentioned in 1428. From 1434 to 1436 he was dean of the Ottenstift in Stettin .

From 1440 to 1456 he was Vice Dominus of the Diocese of Cammin.

As Vice-Dominus he had, among other things, the task of performing the duties of the bishop in the event of a vacancy in the bishopric. He exercised these powers in 1446 after the death of Bishop Siegfried II. Bock until the election of the new Bishop Henning Iwen .
