Cataloging in Publication

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cataloging in Publication ( CIP , sometimes incorrectly as Catalog or Cataloging in Publication , Publications and Publishing called) is one of the US Library of Congress managed database of bibliographic information.

In Germany, the so-called “CIP standard recording” was carried out by today's German National Library until 2002 . The CIP service was part of the German National Bibliography and was replaced by the new publication service. In books today, you can no longer find a CIP standard record, but rather a note that the German National Library is listing the work in the German National Bibliography.
