Kaunos (mythology)
Kaunos ( ancient Greek Καῦνος Kaúnos , Latin Caunus ) is a figure from Greek mythology .
He was the son of Miletus and twin brother of the Byblis . She fell in love with Kaunos, he fled and she pursued him through almost all of Greece and Asia Minor , until she finally turned into a source , exhausted and sad (Ovid, Metamorphosen , 9, 453 ff.). The city of Kaunos is named after him.
