Census Divisions exist in Canada and the United States and are broadly used to describe a breakdown for statistical purposes.

In Canada, Census Divisions are areas below the provincial and territorial level and above the Census Subdivision level .

In the USA

The United States is divided into four Census Regions and nine Census Divisions by the United States Census Bureau . Furthermore Counties in Census County Divisions and Minor Civil Divisions divided.
