The Central-Asian Power Energy Company (CAPEC) ( Russian Центрально-Азиатская топливно-энергетическая компания ) is a holding company in Kazakhstan with headquarters in Almaty . She works in the fields of energy supply and finance.
According to the company, as of August 1, 2009, a total of 8,576 people were employed in all of the holding's companies, 45 of whom were directly employed by CAPEC. According to its own information, the holding's turnover in the 2008 financial year was around 31 billion tenge .

The Central-Asian Power Energy Company was founded on June 11, 1997. In June 2002 almost 100 percent of the regional energy network Pavlodar was taken over. Between April and June 2004, 82 percent of the shares in the Kazakh Eximbank were bought.
In 2007 and 2008, additional energy networks in Ekibastus and northern Kazakhstan came into the possession of CAPEC. In 2007 99.9 percent of the shares in APF “AMANAT Kazakhstan” were taken over.
On March 26, 2009, the Central-Asian Electric Power Corporation was taken over together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development . CAPEC holds 75.12 percent and the EBRD holds 24.88 percent of the shares.
