Centro Internacional de Ferias y Convenciones (short: CIFCO ) is an international center for trade fairs , congresses and a multi-purpose venue in the capital of El Salvador .

The center's facilities are located in Colonia San Benito , around five kilometers from the center of the capital, San Salvador . With an area of ​​141,372 m² and 15 pavilions , CIFCO is also considered to be the largest and most modern multi-purpose center in Central America. The maximum visitor capacity is around 200,000 people at trade fairs. In addition, the CIFCO also houses an amphitheater with 9,500 seats. It offers space for up to 15,000 participants for congress events. CIFCO was inaugurated in 1975.

Extensions

From 2003 to 2010 the Convention Center underwent a complete renovation and expansion. The central hall was expanded by 10,000 m², the pavilions were equipped with air conditioning and a three-level underground car park for 3,500 vehicles was also built.

In the course of its history, the international center has become known nationwide as the venue for numerous trade fairs, congresses and major music and sporting events.
